Distance Learning Project (ADLP) Previews Knowledge

Relevanz Knowledge@NJC system was shown
to a contingent of participants from the Asia Distance
Learning Project (ADLP) Conference meeting on 24th January
2003 at NJC, as an example on how IT integration is
carried out at the schools. Organised by Nanyang Technological
University Center of Educational Development, the project
was identified as an "exemplary use of IT in education
and knowledge management".

The
ADLP is one of the joint projects led by Tokyo and Delhi
and involving 8 cities in Asian countries including
Beijing, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Metropolitan Manila,
Singapore and Taipei. The conference and study tour
to Singapore seek to facilitate mutual sharing of experiences
and expertise in the use of technology in distance learning
in Asian countries. The participants of the conference
include government officers from various countries and
affiliated academic experts from Tokyo Metropolitan
Institute of Technology and other organizations.
