Senior Java Developer

Summary

We are recruiting for a talented and highly motivated Senior Java Developer to join our Technology Department on a permanent basis.

You will be an integral part of a technology team which is on the cutting-edge of web development, responsible for designing and developing customized enterprise software solutions for our clients.

You will be involved in both product development / R & D as well as solution implementation. If up till now, you have only been allowed to work in either, this is a unique opportunity to have the best of both worlds.

You will be a key member of the team, with significant influence on the design and architecture of products, and be given a great deal of freedom to experiment with new technologies. If you have been frustrated working/integrating with existing systems and want to experience the joy of creating a product and to walk it through its lifecycle, this is the career for you.

Must-Have Skills

Minimum 2 years Java programming experience
Minimum 4-6 years programming experience (any language)
Thorough knowledge of Java Servlets and the use of Jakarta Tomcat server
Strong OO fundamentals and design concepts/patterns
Experience using CVS
Fluent English, good communication and writing skills

Good-To-Have Skills

Experience using Jakarta Velocity, Ant
Experience writing unit-tests (with JUnit)
Knowledge of Smalltalk, Perl, C++, Ruby
